Reasons for not getting a job
When we hear this line “Reasons for not getting a job in India?”
The first thing which comes to our mind is – There are less job opportunity in India and the world.
Not at all, neither the employers nor the job seekers are less in numbers. Then, why students are not getting jobs once they complete their graduation? Let’s find about all the factors which are contributing to a lower job success for freshers.
Here are some points-
- More expectation –
Some of the students are overconfident and they do not attend Job interviews of a Startup company or a small scale company. In fact, there are lots of startups in India and across the world and they are looking for the right candidate. As a Fresher, you must not think that the startup companies does lack vision and you should avoid them. - Not tyring for Startups
Students do not do any research on the Startups and their requirement. Directly try to meet the Managing Director or CEO of a Startup company if possible. Personally, carry your Resume and go to the startups where the number of employees are less than 20. Try to meet the director in person and request for a Job. Believe us, if you do this for 50 companies, you will end up with a Job offer for at least 1 company. Follow this process for 10 days properly and you will end up getting a job in a startup for sure. Figure out the startup companies based on the size of the building, employees etc. Talk to the existing employees and get some feedback about any possible opening in that company and give your Resume to them and most importantly, it is your duty to follow up.
- Procrastination –
As a fresher, Freshers should attend each and every interview for smaller and bigger companies. On a few occasions, you miss to attend an interview and you think that “I will attend an Interview from tomorrow” and this is a wrong attitude. You should do all your important works today itself. Do not wait for Tomorrow. Attend as many interviews as possible. Do not be lazy. - No proper guidance –
Sometimes, due to lak of proper guidance, we get confused about our career but you are lucky that we take care of you and will guide to get your first job. - Some of fresh graduates have backlog/score below average –
If you have a backlog or fewer marks in 10th, 12th or graduation, then you must add lots of certification to your Resume. THIS IS MUST so that you compensate your lesser marks with some official certifications. - Lack of Resume Preparation –
Some of you try to copy each other’s Resume(CV) which is completely wrong. You should prepare a unique Resume and write points about yourself. Prepare for all the points which you have mentioned in your Resume. DO NOT FAKE YOUR RESUME - Competitive Environment –
Freshers are available in large numbers. Every year people are completing a different degree and passing out from college as a fresher. As your Job gets delayed, more and the number of students keeps on adding in the Job search pool. So, try and give your 200% each and every time.
